Shipping Methods and Times:
At Empreinte, all in stock orders placed Monday - Friday by 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time will generally ship within 24 hours of the time that your order was received. If your order was placed on a weekend, we will ship your order on the upcoming Monday.
Empreinte ships orders via FedEX. The courier is chosen at our discretion, unless an expedited shipping method is selected (in which case, we ship with FedEX). We offer delivery service within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), US Territories, and Canada. Canadian orders will be shipped via FedEx.
Ground - Discounted Flat Rate
All packages shipped via FedEx generally arrive within 3-7 business days. Please note that shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories and Canada takes additional time. You will receive a tracking number via email once your item(s) is packed. You may track your packages at the following links depending on the courier it was shipped with:

2nd Day Air Delivery
Packages will arrive by the end of the second business day from the day we ship your order. This is available in the continental United States only.
Next Day Delivery
Packages will arrive the next business day from the day we ship your order. This is available in the continental United States only.
Packages will arrive on Saturday, providing that all orders are placed the day before by 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time. This is available in the continental United States only, and the price we quote you will include a $10 FedEx early pickup fee.
Duties on Orders Shipped Outside the United States
Empreinte is not responsible for any taxes, duties and/or other customs/importing fees that may be impossed by governments outside of South Carolina or the United States. You are responsible to check your local laws as they relate to duties and importation of goods and are responsible for them.

Shipping & Delivery
We offer discounted $7 flat rate shipping on all orders to customers in the United States, and $27.99 flat rate shipping on all orders to customers in Canada.
Our discounted $7 flat rate shipping is not a time-sensitive offer, nor is it contingent upon on a mininum order total or carrier.
Delivery time is defined as processing time + transit time.
In stock items will ship within 24 hours that the order is processed. Out of stock items will ship 2-6 weeks from when the order is processed (depending on pre-order status and/or manufacturer).
In stock items placed on Friday will ship that upcoming Monday.
Transit time is determined by geography and the shipping method selected. Flat rate shipping takes 3-7 days to arrive once shipped.

Out of Stock Items
Although we strive to keep an active and up-to-date inventory at Bits of Lace, it is possible that an item may sell out prior to our last inventory update. In this case, we will notify you immediately. As always, we are happy to special order any items of interest should you not be able to find what you are looking for.
Confirming and Tracking Your Order
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail letting you know that your order was received. Once we process and ship your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail with your UPS Tracking number. You may then track your package through the UPS website. (If you do not receive these emails, please check your spamblocker for firstname.lastname@example.org, ups.com, or usps.com.)
Cancellations received prior to the shipment of regular merchandise will result in no charge to your credit card account. Please note that all special orders are non-returnable and cannot be cancelled after the order has been placed. In stock merchandise orders may be cancelled or modified prior to shipment; however, once an order is shipped, the terms fall under our exchange policy. Empreinte cannot be held responsible for inclement weather or delays in delivery, i.e. overnight shipping commitments due to snow storms, etc.
We gladly accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. We regret that we no longer accept Discover.
Sales tax of 8.5% will be added to packages shipped to recipients within the state of South Carolina. This does not display at checkout, but will be added during processing.

A Special Order is, any merchandise that is pre-ordered for a season and not yet available from the designer, or any seasonal merchandise not stocked in the store, but available for purchase from the designer. Stock availability is subject to change with the designer and Empreinte is routinely updating the sites seasonally offered merchandise. Once we receive your special order item, stock availability will be confirmed with the designer and your credit card will be charged for those items. At that time, you will receive an email confirmation of your special order items and their approximate ship date. Special Order items may take 2-6 weeks and are shipped by ground the moment the products are received from the manufacturer.
All Special Orders are Final Sale and Non-Refundable!
Shipping Note: It is important to note that many of our items are imported products from international companies which sometimes require several weeks to receive. Approximate shipping times are as follows:
